ChildFree by Choice (CBC) General Information

ChildFree by Choice (“CBC”) is a privately-held company that connects Candidates who are seeking reproductive health procedures (i.e., vasectomy or tubal ligation) with Donors who are willing to fund them, and to skilled Physicians who are willing to perform them.

First, Candidates register and create profiles. Second, Donors can donate (with or without registering) to fund (in full or in part) a Candidate’s fundraising campaign. Third, CBC-affiliated Physicians perform the Candidate’s reproductive health procedure. CBC facilitates each step along the way.

There are 3 types of donations: You can make a donation to a Specific Candidate. You can make a donation to the General Fund which will be used to benefit a select group of Candidates based upon our algorithm. You can make a donation to the Expansion Fund.

The primary mission is to stop illegitimacy and mitigate the prevalence of unintended pregnancies which both significantly impact all parties involve and lead to massive societal costs in the United States.

No, ChildFree By Choice is not an insurance provider. We are a platform that connects Candidates with Donors and Physicians for reproductive procedures. All procedures are cash pay and no insurance is involved at all.

If you have questions or need assistance, please reach out to our support team via email at info@childfreebc.com. We are here to help with any concerns or inquiries you may have and respond typically in less than 24 hours.

Currently, our services are primarily available in the United States. However, we are exploring options for expansion to other regions in the future. Click here to donate to our Expansion Fund to assist this growth today.

We do not focus on any particular demographic and are agnostic to age, race, locale, and any other defining characteristics including religion, citizenship, marriage status, how many children you have, and so forth. For example, we do not collect race or citizenship information during registration. You just have to be between the ages of 18 and 40.

We do not discriminate upon registration and anybody can register for any reason. It does not matter what your race is, income is, and so forth. You just have to be between the ages of 18 and 40. See FAQ #8

The Process: Matching Candidates, Donors, and Physicians

It occurs when either A) a Candidate is fully funded by one or more Donors, or B) a Candidate is matched with a local Physician willing to perform their reproductive health procedure.

A Candidate has been matched with both a Donor (or multiple Donors) that fund his/her reproductive health procedure, and with a local Physician that is willing to perform the procedure. All three requirements have been satisfied to move forward with scheduling the reproductive health procedure.

Candidate Concerns

If a Candidate is found medically ineligible for the procedure, the donations received for their campaign will be redirected to the General Fund. This will only occur in very rare circumstances and determined 100% by the Physician and the Candidate’s physical health status. Not everyone is eligible for a vasectomy or tubal ligation depending upon the findings at an initial consultation with the Physician.

At this time, to avoid confusion and duplicates, Candidate campaigns can only be set up by the Candidates themselves.

Vasectomy procedures are generally associated with minimal discomfort. Local anesthesia is used to numb the area, and Candidates typically report mild sensations. Your Physician will ensure your comfort and provide guidance on pain management. Please view our website here for more information.

Tubal ligation procedures are typically associated with minimal discomfort. Local anesthesia is used to numb the area, and Candidates generally report mild sensations. Your Physician will ensure your comfort and provide guidance on pain management. Please view our website here for more information.

CBC pays Physicians directly through Donor Funds. Candidates are not responsible for any costs or expenses of any kind.

Anonymous donations are non-refundable (since we truly don’t know who donated). However, if you Register as a Donor and donate, your donations are tracked in your Dashboard. Anytime prior to a 3-way match being initiated — i.e. a match between a Candidate, a Donor, and a Physician — you can request a refund. Please contact us for a refund.

Absolutely. This is our top priority. You can donate entirely anonymously, in which case we do not ask for any identifying information at all. You can even donate using Cryptocurrency, which further bolsters anonymity. Or, you can Register, in which case we keep your personal information confidential and do not sell it or use it for any other purpose as discussed in our terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Assistance and Funding

Donations to the Expansion Fund are 100% used for CBC growth. Your donation will not be allocated to any Candidates, but 100% for operating expenses to strategically grow CBC quicker with a focus on rapid expansion to new markets.

You have the option to allocate that your donated funds only be used in a geographic location of your choice. Your donation will be used only to grow outreach, hire Advocates, increase Candidate registration, locate Physicians, and fully fund Candidates within a 50 mile radius of the zip code you input.

On average, each Candidate’s procedure is fully funded by a $5,000 donation. A single $5,000 donation can prevent nearly $400,000 of annual costs and $26 million of lifetime costs. This equates to a Preventative ROI (pROI) of 520,000% (i.e., the return on your donation as shown by preventative costs). See Infographic. *These numbers are estimates only using publicly available information and are not peer reviewed so please do your own research.

No, if the value of a Donation Voucher is not fully used on a single transaction then the balance will not be saved. You should use the full amount on the transaction. I.e., if your voucher is for $25 and you only apply it for a $5 donation then the balance of $20 is not saved, it will be voided. You should do a $25 donation instead of $5 to maximize the voucher.

All costs for a Candidate’s procedure are paid directly to the Physician by CBC. Once the procedure has been performed, the Physician submits a procedure report that is verified by CBC. Once the report is verified, a direct honorarium payment is made to the Candidate’s bank account within five (5) business days. Please register as a Candidate to view the amount that your honorarium would be. The Honorarium payment is a flat rate determined at registration to avoid administrative costs processing reimbursements. The Honorarium is optional and Candidates can decline to receive all or part of it or donate it back which is encouraged if it is not needed by the Candidates.

Candidates are granted an honorarium after their reproductive procedure to both acknowledge their commitment to the process and to help alleviate the financial burden associated with such procedures. This is a flat rate determined at registration to avoid administrative costs processing reimbursements. The Honorarium is optional and Candidates can decline to receive all or part of it or donate it back which is encouraged if it is not needed by the Candidates.

The Honorarium’s purpose is not to influence choices; it’s meant to assist people in covering the costs a Candidate will likely incur from undergoing a procedure. The Honorarium is optional and Candidates can decline to receive all or part of it or donate it back which is encouraged if it is not needed by the Candidates.

For Influencers with large followings, helping to spread the CBC word in this way can be quite lucrative.

Two reasons: 1) The male vasectomy procedure is less expensive than the female tubal ligation procedure. 2) Funding goals for both males and females are highest at 18 years old and gradually decrease until the age of 40. Therefore, the highest funding goal is for an 18-year-old female, and the lowest is for a 40-year-old male.

There is no time limit for reaching the Candidate’s goal amount. However, if a Candidate decides to be removed from our platform and has funds donated under their name, all the funds that have been collected will be redirected to the General Fund.

Absolutely. This is our top priority. Please contact us to help onboard your own Physician.

Allocation of Funds, Tax Deductibility, & Miscellanous Questions

General Donations to the General Fund will be used 100% to fund Campaign Goals for Candidates based upon an internal funding algorithm. The funds will not be used for any other means. The funding algorithm, in short, will apply 50% of the donation to the female Candidate Campaign that has been registered on CBC the longest, and 50% of the donation to the male Campaign that has been registered on CBC the longest. With surplus going to the next Candidate proportionately.

An Expansion Fund is a fund allocated for fueling and supporting strategic growth of the CBC platform. Click here to donate today.

If you’ve donated the wrong amount or are requesting a refund, please contact our support team via email at info@childfreebc.com with the donation details. We’ll review your request and assist you based on our donation and refund policies.

Donations made through our platform typically take 1-2 minutes of processing time to reach the Candidate’s account.

CBC uses Stripe to process all payments securely and anonymously.

Not at this time, we are working hard to eventually allow these to be tax deductible, but please consult your tax advisor in the interim.

No, there are no fees. Click here to learn more.
